Razor Heart was formed by Max and Valentino in 2008 as way of avoiding work with the excuse that “they were writing the world’s next masterpiece”. It was in fact an excuse to go out partying and drinking without mothers, girlfriends or parole officers asking anymore questions.

It was about that time which the process became serious and the 2 rockers started writing real songs and interviewing musicians. The band wen through several names like Requiem X, Virgin Sluts, Vintage Wine, Whiskey N’ Kittens until finally settling on the name Razor Heart after a drunken night out.

The name Razor Heart was a name that represented the band at the time: Max was the Razor as he was always cutting forward; and Valentino the Heart as the Heart as he composed all the songs.

It then took a more poetic meaning. Our hearts are sharp as razors, but razors have cut my heart. Max and Valentino deny this as it sounds too girly.

Logo
The logo was chosen by Max and Valentino after many designs. “The heart in the shape of a razor symbolizes our hearts and our music. We pour our hearts in music, but it’s also fast and heavy.”

Musical Style
Razor Heart had many changes in music style. What started as a traditional metal band, morphed to include elements of new metal, glam metal, rock, blues and even Antartican music.

The band now follows a heavy/hard rock line mixing old and new music. But enough of describing it. This is job for journalists and historians. To us, it just sounds f$%#ing awesome!
